An April Fools Surprise Proposal
Hey there, lovebirds and photography people!
It was April 1st, a day notorious for its pranks and surprises. Little did I know, this particular April Fools' Day would take me by surprise in the most beautiful way possible. As a wedding photographer, I've witnessed countless love stories unfold before my lens, but little did I know that my own love story was about to take center stage.
João, the love of my life and the mastermind behind this, had chosen the picturesque Praia da Arriba as the backdrop for his grand gesture. It had been raining cats and dogs all week long and apparently the hopes for a sunny engagement seemed to be slipping away with each passing day. But as fate would have it, April 1st dawned with a glimmer of hope—a single ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds, promising a break in the weather.
So we headed to the beach to walk and talk a little and grab a cup of wine and as the sun began its descent towards the horizon, João surprised me with a drone videographer, ready to capture every moment of our special day. The sound of the crashing waves, the salty breeze in the air—it was like something out of a dream. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, João got down on one knee and proposed!
Spoiler alert: I said yes!
Looking back, it's funny how life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. Despite the rain, the jokes, and the unexpected twists and turns, love always finds a way to shine through. And as I embark on this new chapter of my life with João by my side, I'm reminded of the beauty of love in all its forms.
